clément cogitore (France)
After completing his studies at the Ecole supérieure des arts
décoratifs in Strasbourg (France) and at the Fresnoy-Studio national
des arts contemporains, Clément Cogitore began to explore the
borders between cinema and contemporary art. Through his work, which
combines film, photography, video and installation, he questions concepts
such as ‘transporting images’ and ‘screen as territory’.
Changing the traditional forms and functions of screening devices and
using experimental narrative forms, Cogitore’s projects show fragments
of reflection on the perception of history, collective memory and the
representation of the sacred. Clément Cogitore lives and works
between Paris, Luxembourg and Strasbourg.
